Our Trip to Salato


On Tuesday we went to the Salato Wildlife Education Center in Frankfort, KY. 

We saw a giant Alligator Snapping Turtle

a poisonous Water Moccasin


Canada Geese

American Black Bear

Grey Squirrels

and lots of fish (these are Rainbow Trout)

We went on a hike with our friends. We had a great time!

    Love your blog and pictures - keep up the good work.
    Pop and I were at the beach last week and I saw two geese building a nest in the base of a tree right behind the screened porch. The momma goose was gathering twigs and making the nest while the poppa goose stayed busy chasing away any ducks that got too close. When we got home we found at least three Great Blue Heron nests in the back yard. They are really fun to watch so hope you can visit soon.
