Bengal Tigers

Tigers live in a tropical habitat.    

Bengal tigers are orange and black.               

Bengal  tigers canine teeth are 2 inches long. 

Tigers eat meat so they are carnivores.

  

 Bengal tigers can have up to 5 cubs. 

Bengal tigers are endangered.

Food

American Black Bears are omnivores. They eat plants and animals. They eat a lot of nuts and berries and often eat meat. They have a great sense of smell, so they are good at finding foods that they like.

Habitat

American Black Bears are very common in the Great Smoky Mountains. They love the Ash, Oak, and Elm trees there. It is a great place to hibernate. They mostly live in the northern region of North America.

The Louisville Zoo

We went to the Louisville Zoo. We saw all kinds of animals. Here are some of them.

We saw Orangatans,

Kamodo Dragon,

and we saw the rare white alligator named King Louie.

We saw a beautiful jaguar,

a baby gorilla with its mom,

the endangered pygmy hippo,

and meerkats.

We saw elephants and we got to see them perform. Here's the Asian Elephant carrying a log. There was a baby African Elephant with its mom there. The baby was doing tricks too!

We saw a baby Bongo with its mom.

It was really fun and we saw lots of cute baby animals.

My Dog - Vegas

She is friendly and likes to play with a rope toy. 

My Cat - Clementine

She is sweet and whenever she gets scared she jumps like five feet in the air.She'll knock everything off your desk if her food dish is on it, because she thinks you are going to steal her food.

Clementine likes to stalk my hamster.

My Hamster - Whiskers

He loves to run on his wheel. When I get him out I let him run through paper towel tubes. 

His favorite food is sunflower seeds.

My Fish - Midnight

She swims and swims and eats. She's lonely.

I love my pets. 

Our Trip to Salato

On Tuesday we went to the Salato Wildlife Education Center in Frankfort, KY. 

We saw a giant Alligator Snapping Turtle

a poisonous Water Moccasin

Canada Geese

American Black Bear

Grey Squirrels

and lots of fish (these are Rainbow Trout)

We went on a hike with our friends. We had a great time!
